Our Story

Liandri was founded to address a practical challenge in mineral exploration: deposits are becoming harder to find, while the cost and uncertainty of exploration continue to rise. We operate with a singular mission: improve decision making to improve chances of discovery with lesser drilling. Rather than replacing geological judgement, our methods are designed to augment it by helping teams compare competing interpretations and make better decisions under uncertainty.

We operate across two areas:

  • Mineral exploration - we have developed a proprietary technology platform in collaboration with Stanford University that uses stochastic modelling, uncertainty quantification, and geospatial analysis to test multiple geological hypotheses and identify the strongest drill targets
  • Investment in promising projects - we actively invest with a large internal fund in compelling third-party exploration projects

Led by technology leaders (startup founders who have built and scaled many times before!), we are a multidisciplinary team across geoscience, data science and engineering, and strategy. Our goal is simple yet ambitious: to find the resources the world critically needs, with less capital at risk and greater scientific confidence.

The search for critical minerals is becoming more technically demanding. Many prospective systems are deeper, more structurally complex, or less directly observable than those found through traditional exploration methods. Liandri's approach is built around a simple principle: better exploration decisions come from combining geological expertise with rigorous modelling of uncertainty.

Our technology philosophy centers around three principles:
